Enjoy a guided tour of Singapore, partake in a High Tea at Raffles Hotel and relax on a Bum Boat as you take a journey down Singapore River from Boat Quay to the Merlion Park. Visits include the National Orchid Garden at Singapore Botanical Gardens, Chinatown Heritage Centre, Singapore Zoo where we will have breakfast with the orang utans and Sentosa Island, where youll learn of its rich historical past. A real highlight is sure to be Gardens by the Bay with their amazing supertrees and two unique conservatories - the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest where you will find the worlds tallest indoor waterfall.
Day 1 Mon Dec 11
Your tour begins with your transfer to Brisbane Airport where our Cross Country Tours staff will assist with your check in. On arrival into Singapore, we will be welcomed by our local guide who will transfer us to our accommodation. This will be our base for the duration of our time in Singapore, so no need to repack again until we depart for home. After freshening up, meet back together for dinner.

Day 2 Tue Dec 12
After breakfast, we begin our day with an introduction to Singapore's colourful heritage during a guided tour. See milestones in Singapore's history through memorials and monuments around the Padang, Old Supreme Court, Old Parliament House and City Hall. Visit Kampong Glam, explore some of the oldest streets in Singapore and visit the Chinatown Heritage Centre which provides a vivid recreation of life and living conditions during the early 1900s'. After lunch at a local restaurant, we'll make a short stop at Raffles Landing site to discover where Singapore began its reputation as 'Emporium of the East'. Enjoy a cruise down the Singapore River on a Bum Boat from Boat Quay to Merlion Park, offering a great photo opportunity. Next, visit the downtown area of Marina Bay before returning to the hotel. This evening, take time to purchase your own dinner and wander down the famous Orchard Road, returning to the hotel at your leisure.B, L
Day 3 Wed Dec 13
Today is sure to highlight the spectacular array of gardens on offer in this tropical climate. This morning we'll visit the National Orchid Garden at the Singapore Botanical Gardens. With over 1000 species and 2000 hybrids on display, the display is certainly a sight to behold. Next we visit Gardens by the Bay located at the edge of Marina Reservoir. Spanning 101 hectares, this award-winning horticultural attraction houses over 250 thousand rare plants and two cooled, unique conservatories - the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Be amazed by the Supertrees - vertical gardens that combine multitude functions and work as environmental engines for the gardens! Enjoy dinner at No Signboard Seafood Restaurant on the Esplanade before returning to the hotel for a well earned rest.B, D
Day 4 Thu Dec 14
Today we travel to Singapore's favourite playground - Sentosa Island. Cross the busy Straits of Singapore by Cable Car and be captivated by the stunning 360 degree view. Visit the Images of Singapore where an entertaining and informative guide from the museum will uncover Singapore's history from a humble fishing village to a 21st century powerhouse. Next, we visit the SEA Aquarium where there is opportunity to see the adorable fur seals as they perform alongside pink dolphins! Take time to purchase your own lunch before returning to Singapore city. This afternoon, take a ride on the Singapore Flyer - Asia's largest observation wheel, standing at a height of 165m. Return to our hotel to freshen up before dinner at a local restaurant.B, D
Day 5 Fri Dec 15
Singapore Zoo is the only place in the world where we can have breakfast with Orang Utans - and that is exactly what we will be doing this morning! This award-winning breakfast program allows us to take photos with the charming apes and other animals as we enjoy a buffet spread. Take time to explore the rest of the zoo and some of its wonderful shows on offer, such as the Splash Safari, Animal Friends and the Rainforest Fights Back show. After a full day we are transferred back to our hotel for dinner.B, D
Day 6 Sat Dec 16
This morning will evoke many emotions as our guide takes us to some of the museums and memorials dedicated to the memory of all who fought and suffered during WWII. Visit The Changi Museum, Kranji War Cemetary, and pass by the Old Changi Prison facade, another WWII internment camp. After a somber morning our day will 'lift' when we venture to the 50th Storey Skybridge at The Pinnacle@Duxton to see the panoramic views. A real treat awaits this afternoon as we arrive at the famous Raffles Hotel for High Tea. This evening is at leisure and will offer another opportunity to take in the splendor of the Christmas lights. B HT
Day 7 Sun Dec 17
Today we visit Asia's largest bird park - Jurong Bird Park. Hop on-board the guided trams or take a leisurely stroll around the park and explore the lush jungles. Purchase your own morning tea and lunch today. The afternoon has been left free to do any last minute shopping. Our farewell dinner this evening is at Indochine Restaurant set atop the Supertrees at Gardens by the Bay, offering amazing views of the Singapore skyline. This is also our last chance to experience the lights once again along Orchard Road. What a fantastic way to end a memorable holiday in this unique destination.B, D
Day 8 Mon Dec 18
This morning we will farewell this beautiful destination as we are transferred to Singapore Airport for our flight back to Australia. On arrival into Brisbane, you will be met by our Cross Country Tours staff who will have your transfers arranged. VISAS At the time of printing, a visa to enter Singapore is not required for Australian Passport holders.
FITNESS TO TRAVEL - It is essential that your Doctor is aware of your wish to undertake this tour. Please make your Doctor aware that you will have approximately an 8 hour flight between Brisbane and Singapore and see if he/she recommends any precautions for you to take.
If you require a walking aid or have any medical condition it is also essential for you to address this with us. Please be aware that showers may be over baths and a reasonable amount of fitness is required.
MEDICATION It is essential that you take enough prescription medication with you for the entire tour. Please note that all medication (both prescription and non-prescription) must be in its original packaging. Please carry a letter from your Doctor authorising your medication for customs purposes. It is strongly recommended that you also carry something for sniffles and coughs, and the relief of diarrhoea, even if you dont use it. Pharmacies may not always be easily accessible.
LUGGAGE For the land portion of your tour, it is a requirement that your suitcase must not weigh more than 20kg and total linear measurement (i.e. length+depth+width) not exceed 150cm. As a customs requirement, you need to be able to handle your luggage yourself at the airports. Whilst on tour your suitcase will be delivered to your room.
HAND LUGGAGE Is to be no more than 6kg and total linear measurement not exceeding 100cm. Cabin luggage must consist of 1 item maximum. (Eg: handbag or camera bag or travel bag.) Please note: strict rules apply to items carried in your hand luggage during flights, including sharp objects, liquids, aerosols and gels. We will advise you of these rules at the information session prior to departure, or you may contact our office for further details.
MEALS NOT INCLUDED You need to budget approx AUD$15 - $25 for each meal not supplied.
MONEY Singapore Dollars is the main currency required for this tour and credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) are generally accepted. Further details will be advised at the Information Session prior to your departure.
TAXI PICKUP* A taxi home pickup and return is provided to persons who reside in the greater Brisbane area, that is, anywhere from Bribie Island in the north, Ipswich & surrounds in the west to Jacobs Well in the south. Special arrangements can be made for travellers living outside these areas.
