Day 2

Albury – Tumbarumba
There is a busy day ahead today as you travel out from Albury through Tallangatta along the Murray Valley Highway. Arrive in Corryong, a small town in the shadows of Australia’s Snowy Mountains, to witness the re-enactment of the Man from Snowy River, the subject of Banjo Patterson’s famous ballad and the commemoration of Jack Riley’s participation in this story. Enjoy some free time to take in the sights and sounds of the festivities before heading to the main street in Corryong for the Festival Street Parade. Settle in to Tumbarumba for the next two nights. Please note: You will need to be able to negotiate uneven, sloping ground and paddocks for the re-enactment and to view the rodeo ground.

Other festival activities include a craft market where you will find Australian made, baked, sewn, crafted and grown products.
