Dragons and Talking Trams
Today we will hear the history of Bendigo during a ride on the famous Talking Tram. The Bendigo Easter Festival recognises the strong association the Chinese had with the area during the gold mining era and after lunch, we will visit the Golden Dragon Museum featuring the history of the Chinese in the goldfields. The museum also houses the processional regalia including the world's longest Imperial Dragon, Sun Loong. This afternoon, visit the Discovery, Science and Technology Centre which is 100% hands on fun for all ages. Return to the motel for dinner.

Pottery – Cathedral
This morning we visit the famous and oldest working pottery, Bendigo Pottery, known Australia wide for its beautiful, quality products. We will then head to Rosalind Park to join in the
many festivities held here for the Easter period. The Rotary Arts and Craft Markets with over 150 stalls are always a favourite. Situated in the Bull Street precinct in the centre of the city,
you'll be able to view fine colonial buildings, including Bendigo's magnificent Town Hall, with opportunity to purchase your own lunch while at the markets. This afternoon, we will visit
Sacred Heart Cathedral for a guided tour before returning to the motel.

Maldon – Castlemaine
Enjoy Victoria's rural beauty as you take a drive to historic Maldon. Hear the history presented by a local guide onboard your coach. Maldon, designated as ‘Australia's first notable town’, has preserved its 19th Century appearance since the gold rush days. Travel to nearby Castlemaine, enjoying a tour of this historic gold mining town followed by lunch at Buda Historic House and Gardens. This evening after dinner at the motel, you can join us for an evening trip to the town centre to view the torchlight parade which concludes with a fireworks display in Rosalind Park.
